Although the roughly 49 million mainland Koreans had access to view the SBS Seoul documentary that aired Monday at 6:30 p.m., local time, the half million Jeju-ites did not have viewing privileges to see The Jeju Big Swim team in action.
Two days after, we have a new love interest. Next week Thursday, a writer, photographer, and university reporter are flying down from Seoul to produce a piece in a book entitled "Saem-teo."
We have no idea what we are getting ourselves into.

HIYA!
ReplyDeleteFirst time posting. Sherrin, are you there?! Steve, Sherrin and I have been friends for a couple of years, I guess. We rode bikes around the island about a year ago, I guess. Sorry about that Sherrin! :-)
When Sherrin first told me about this swim last year, I rooted her on. Now that I know there are two of you crazies out there in the water, risking life and limb (now from high speed fishing boats too), boy ... I gotta root you both on. Sorry I'm only contributing in this way, not with money.
Hope you two have a strategy in case the high speed fishing boats are a menace. Steve, maybe you'll wave an angry paddle at them and that will send them scurrying in the other direction!
I'll comment on other posts too.
Troy.
