DAY 17 SUCCESS

Finally.

We are on track again.

We covered 11 kilometers today from Wimi Harbor (8:15 a.m.) to Seogwipo Harbor (1:30 p.m.) for The Jeju Big Swim's Day 17 on Monday, August 16, 2010, more than 2 kmph. I marked Seopseom as the halfway point for 100 kilometers. Five more past and now our venture sits at 105 km completed.

Out of Wimi, we hit our best weather in 7 days and didn't stop until Seopseom for nourishment.

After a break, we split the middle first between Seopseom and the shore and eyed between Munseom and the shore to reach the near, red lighthouse of Seogwipo Harbor.

On watch during the day, we had three different police boats, a Coast Guard vessel, a marine police ship and a puny police boat, which led us into the harbor and didn't take their eyes off until Sherrin was firmly planted on land.

A lot of sun, swimming, and sweating were prevalent throughout the day.
